Furniture as Individual as You Are
Every piece we craft is guided by the natural form of locally sourced Kentish timber. No two items are ever the same — a truly bespoke experience for your home.

Welcome to Eco Timber Works, where natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, and sustainable values come together to create unique furniture handmade in Kent. We design and build indoor and outdoor furniture that reflects the beauty of locally sourced timber. Every piece begins with responsibly gathered wood from coppiced woodlands, a centuries-old woodland management practice that promotes healthy forest regeneration and protects wildlife habitats.
Our approach is simple: work with nature, not against it. Each log is carefully cut, seasoned, and shaped by hand in our workshop in Smeeth, near Ashford, using a combination of chainsaws and hand tools. The natural form of the wood guides every design, resulting in distinctive, one-of-a-kind furniture that’s made to last.

We believe that the most beautiful furniture tells a story — one of local woodlands, craftsmanship, and sustainability. From the moment a piece of timber is selected, we work to preserve its unique characteristics. The grain, curves, and natural edges are celebrated, not removed, ensuring that every item is individual and authentic.
Our range includes tables, benches, chairs, stools, shoe racks, chopping boards, and fruit trugs — each crafted with care, passion, and respect for the material. Whether it’s a solid outdoor bench for a garden or a statement indoor table for your home, every creation embodies the raw beauty and warmth of Kentish timber.

All of our materials come from local, coppiced woodlands across Kent. Coppicing is an ancient and sustainable method of woodland management that involves cutting trees back to their base, allowing them to naturally regrow. This process produces straight, strong trunks ideal for furniture-making while maintaining vital habitats for birds, insects, and small mammals.
By using locally felled wood, we reduce transport emissions and support regional woodland conservation. Our furniture isn’t just made in Kent — it’s grown, shaped, and finished here too, keeping our environmental footprint small and our connection to the land strong.
Based in Smeeth, near Ashford, we’re ideally positioned to serve customers across Kent. We regularly work with clients from Ashford, Folkestone, Canterbury, Dover, Maidstone, Faversham, Tenterden, Hythe, Deal, Sittingbourne, and Whitstable, offering a personal service & delivery options for bespoke commissions.
